The pandemic is only now letting loose in some countries. In some, the restrictions still apply. But, if you’re lucky, it may now finally be safe for you to travel. The borders are open, but even within your country, there’s still the question of how much it will cost…
If there’s a chance to get some few days off from work or you are looking to organize a retreat with friends, or maybe with a significant other, or maybe you just wanna go somewhere, anywhere… It is possible to do it without compromising your wallet or the quality.
Just a few tips…
Do the research
We know you just want to break free, pun intended, but you have to put in the hours, days, and even months of exploring and planning. Spontaneous escapes are best left for romantic comedy movies, which we don’t watch anyway.
In reality, not even the richest people go on unplanned vacations or travels. Search for the right option, the right moment, the right destination, the right flight, prices, the right everything. It can and will make a difference in the wallet and experience as well.
Make a wise destination choice
Everybody wants to go to Bora Bora, but just because you hear about a destination all the time and many people go there, it doesn’t mean it is for you. Do you know how you can guess which destinations are expensive? The ones people talk about all the time.
It sounds wrong, but it’s not. Destinations that charge a lot have the funds to invest in mass marketing, and people who go there and overpay for everything love to brag about it, to at least get something out of it. Choose the right destination for your budget and if the masses don’t go there, all the better.
Go off-season
You have to be flexible with it. If you want a premium destination, in the middle of summer, there’s going to be trouble. Firstly, all the good accommodations are going to be booked, so you will end up going to the worst places, and they will end up charging the same as everybody else because they know you don’t have a choice.
As opposed to that, off-season most of the hotels and lodgings will have free space, and their prices must be lighter. If you like the crowd, on the other hand, then just book a bus to the nearest metropolis with a street festival instead.
